My Story
A Note from the parents about the artist.
Like many neurodiverse individuals, CJ (Clarence Wiley, Jr.) has faced and continues to face challenges that range from mild to more significant. However, in spite of these challenges CJ is blessed with extraordinary talent, creativity, and a unique perspective on the world. CJ’s kind and open-hearted nature shines brightly thru his art.
CJ is a dedicated sophomore at Rose State College majoring in Film Studies and Digital Media. In 2023 - 2025, CJ distinguished himself by earning a place on both the President’s and the Vice President’s Honor Roll each semester.
In 2022, CJ received top honors at the Oklahoma City Arts Festival in the youth division for his fusion glass art which garnered enthusiastic praise from festival goers and buyers alike. His work has been successfully exhibited, displayed and sold at numerous festivals, craft shows, farmers market and special events as the Clara Luper and Juneteenth Celebrations, showcasing his talent and entrepreneurial spirit.
Beyond academics and art, CJ actively participates in the Rose State College Comic Book Club and also practices martial arts. He is also a proud member of OKLUG (Oklahoma LEGO User Group), sharing his passion for creativity and building LEGO with others. CJ has his own YouTube site, (dragonnet289)
In March 2026, CJ's LEGO and fusion glass artwork was featured at the Paseo Gallery II in the "Art on Display" for the Autism Oklahoma Duets Art Show, which highlights the work of neurodivergent artists paired together. Additionally, CJ is a member of the Oklahoma Vocational Arts Coalition (OVAC).
CJ’s fusion glass art "Red and Orange Flower” had the honor of being displayed at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum as part of the OVAC exhibit, June 1 – August 1, 2026. This was a major honor for CJ that made his parents and family proud.
CJ had the prestigious honor of meeting Dr. Joy Reed Belt, owner and director of the award-winning JRB Art at The Elms Gallery, located in the historic Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City. Several of his custom LEGO art pieces will be on display in her gallery starting August 6, 2026.
